Bluetooth pairing fails with the BRAVIA Theatre Quad, BRAVIA Theatre Bar 9, or BRAVIA Theatre Bar 8

If Bluetooth pairing fails, check the following:

    Hints:

    • For information on how to pair with a Bluetooth device, refer to the product Help Guide.
    • Before pairing, update the software or OS of the audio device and the mobile device you're connecting to the latest version.
    • Make sure the audio device and the source device are not connected in Low Energy (LE) mode. If they are connected in LE mode, the Bluetooth connection may fail, or no sound may be heard from the audio device. In the Bluetooth settings of the connected devices, make sure LE_ is not displayed, then pair and connect the devices without LE_.
    • Bring the audio device and the Bluetooth device closer together, then try pairing again.
    • The number of connected devices may have exceeded the device's Bluetooth connection limit. In the Bluetooth settings, delete one or more of the paired devices.
Забелешка: There are no Bluetooth connection limits with Android OS devices.
    • Move the audio system away from any device that generates electromagnetic waves, such as a wireless router or a microwave oven, and try pairing again.
    • On the mobile device, try the following:
      • Set Airplane mode to On, wait a few minutes, then turn it Off.
      • Make sure that another device is not currently connected to the mobile device via Bluetooth. If another device is connected, disconnect that device and try pairing again. Turning off the device or turning off the device's Bluetooth feature will disconnect the Bluetooth connection.
    • On the audio device, if the Wireless function is set to Off, a Bluetooth device cannot be paired or connected. Turn the Wireless function On, then try again.

    Note:

When pairing with an Android device, select the device entry without the LE- prefix in the device list.

If you have no sound after connecting the mobile device, follow the countermeasures for the cases below:

    • Case 1:
In the Bluetooth settings on your mobile device:
      • If the already paired device is labeled 'LE_(device name)', and neither 'LE_(device name)' nor '(device name)' appears in the list of available devices when attempting to pair.
      Workaround
      Try the following procedure:
      1. In the mobile device's Bluetooth settings, delete all the Bluetooth pairing information, including the device name with LE_.
      2. Pair the devices again, then connect the mobile device to the device entry without LE_.
    • Case 2:
In the Bluetooth settings on your mobile device:
      • If the already paired device is labeled 'LE_(device name)', and only 'LE_(device name)' appears in the list of available devices.
      Workaround
You can continue using the device entry labeled 'LE_(device name)'.
